Elise van 't Laar, born and raised in Belgium, is known for her role as Meis in the 2014 film 'Supernova'. Orphaned at a young age, she grew up with her mother in a house located on a bend of a long road. Her father was incapacitated after a car accident, causing tension between her parents and leading to her mother's flirtations with strangers. Elise, as Meis, expressed feelings of boredom and restlessness, often using the language of physics to describe her emotions. She looked for collisions, both literal (lying in the road) and figurative (her relationship with her best friend), to release energy. At night, she observed bikers on a half-built bridge.
