Dolores Heredia was born on October 6, 1966, in La Paz, Baja California Sur, Mexico. She is one of ten children, her mother Lusiana Kornal being a photographer from Sinaloa and her father a seaman from Guanajuato. Heredia studied drama at the National Autonomous University of Mexico.
