Constanze Becker, born in 1973 in Germany, grew up with her father, Jaschek, after her mother's death when she was 16 years old. After moving into a decrepit prefabricated building on the city outskirts where Jaschek took up caretaker duties, Constanze discovered that the house seemed to possess an evil life of its own, feeding off the misery of its inhabitants.
