Claire Danes (born April 12, 1979) is an American actress known for her versatile roles in film and television. She gained early recognition as Angela Chase in 'My So-Called Life' (1994), a role that earned her a Golden Globe Award. Her notable films include 'Little Women' (1994), 'Romeo + Juliet' (1996), 'The Hours' (2002), and 'Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines' (2003). She attended Yale University from 1998 to 2000 before resuming her acting career. Danes won critical acclaim for her portrayal of Temple Grandin in an HBO film (2010) and Carrie Mathison in 'Homeland' (2011-2020), earning multiple Emmy and Golden Globe awards for both roles.
