Carey Hannah Mulligan, born on May 28, 1985, is an English actress who has earned numerous accolades including a BAFTA, and nominations for three Academy Awards, four Golden Globe Awards, and a Tony Award. She made her professional debut in Kevin Elyot's play Forty Winks at the Royal Court Theatre (2004), followed by film roles in 'Pride & Prejudice' (2005) and diverse TV appearances. Her breakthrough role was in 'An Education' (2009).
