Candice Rene King, born Candice Accola on May 13, 1987, is an American actress and singer. She rose to fame playing Caroline Forbes in The CW's supernatural drama series 'The Vampire Diaries' from 2009 to 2017, reprising her role in the spin-off series 'The Originals' (2013-2018) and 'Legacies' (2018-present). Prior to acting, King independently released her debut album 'It's Always the Innocent Ones' in 2006. She also toured as a backing singer for Miley Cyrus's Best of Both Worlds Tour and appeared in the 3D concert film 'Hannah Montana & Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Concert' (2008). King has had guest appearances in various TV series, including 'How I Met Your Mother', 'Supernatural', 'Drop Dead Diva', and 'The Orville'.
