Barbara Mills was born on February 23, 1951, in Oxford, Massachusetts. She moved to Venice Beach, California at age 17 and became a part of its bohemian artistic community. Mills pursued art as an undergraduate student while also working as a nude model. She began her acting career in 1968 and met her husband Frank Mills in 1969 who helped secure additional roles through agent Hal Guthu, primarily in soft-core pictures and exploitation features throughout the 70s. Apart from acting, Mills was also an independent painter based in Venice Beach. She passed away on December 15, 2010, at age 59 while in Ko Samui, Thailand.
