Astrid Grarup Elbo, a renowned Danish ballerina, returned to the Royal Danish Ballet after an absence to perform 'Giselle' with her husband Frans as choreographer. Unfortunately, she suffered from an irreparable hip injury during rehearsals, ending her dancing career. Despite this setback, she dedicated herself to training Polly, her replacement for the role of Giselle, but struggled emotionally as Polly gained attention and Frans' focus.
