Anna Prucnal, born December 17, 1940 in Warsaw, Poland, is an actress and singer known for her extensive theater and film work. After losing her father during World War II, she was raised by her noble mother. She began acting at the Studencki Teatr Satyryków in Warsaw before moving to France at age 27, where she worked with renowned directors like Bertolt Brecht. Prucnal gained notoriety for her role in Dusan Makavejev's 'Sweet Movie' (1974), which led to a ban on using her Polish passport. Despite this, she continued acting and singing, releasing albums like 'Dream of West, Dream of East'. She published an autobiography in 2002.
