Angèle Humeau, born Fernande Barrey, was a French model and artist's muse in Paris during the 1920s. Known as Yuki after her pale skin, she was married to Japanese artist Tsuguharu Foujita, who named her thus. They socialized with Picasso, Modigliani, and other notable artists of the time. During World War II, they returned to Japan where Foujita's art took a darker turn. After the war, they moved back to France, and Humeau became a French citizen. She inspired Foujita's final work, the chapel 'Notre Dame de la Paix' in Reims.
