Alexis Bledel, born Kimberly Alexis Bledel on September 16, 1981, is an American actress and model known for her roles as Rory Gilmore in 'Gilmore Girls' (2000–2007) and Emily Malek in 'The Handmaid's Tale' (2017–2021). She had a recurring role in 'Mad Men' (2012) and reprised her role as Rory Gilmore in the Netflix reunion miniseries 'Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life' (2016). Bledel's film roles include Winnie Foster in 'Tuck Everlasting' (2002), Lena Kaligaris in 'The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants' (2005) and its sequel (2008), and appearances in 'Sin City' (2005) and 'Post Grad' (2009). She has been nominated for numerous awards, including Satellite, Teen Choice, Young Artist, Primetime Emmy, and Screen Actors Guild Awards, winning Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama Series for her role in 'The Handmaid's Tale'.
