Alexandra Moen, born in Pisa, Italy, spent her childhood traveling with her oceanographer father, living in Canada, Bermuda, and England before completing her schooling. She studied English at Leeds University followed by acting at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts. Her notable stage roles include 'Macbeth' (2002) and 'The Seagull' (2003). Moen's first lead TV role was in 'Tripping Over' (2006), followed by 'Hotel Babylon'. She is recognized for her sci-fi appearances, notably 'Doctor Who', and her role as 'Petra Bergen' in 'Fortitude' (2015-2018). In 2019, she took over the role of 'Elizabeth of York' in 'The Spanish Princess' and played 'Simone Cameron' in 'Dublin Murders'.
