Full Biography

Marina Sirtis, born on March 29, 1955 in London's East End to Greek parents, is an English-American actress best known for her role as Counselor Deanna Troi in 'Star Trek: The Next Generation'. She was raised in Harringay, North London, and later moved to the U.S., becoming a naturalized citizen. Before her prominent Star Trek role, Sirtis appeared in various films including 'The Wicked Lady' (1983) with Faye Dunaway, and had numerous guest roles on British TV shows like 'Raffles', 'Hazell', and 'Minder'. She is married to rock guitarist Michael Lamper.

Story

Egotistical land developer Mike Stark hires scientist Dr. Andrew Hofstadter to develop a defoliant for clearing an Amazonian rain forest where he plans to build his latest project. Locals warn of unexplained deaths and strange occurrences, including a mysterious religious ceremony witnessed by Hofstadter. Archaeologist Dr. Christine DuMaurier suspects that the disappearance of an ancient tribal culture may be connected to the recent attacks. Despite initial skepticism, Stark visits the location with Hofstadter. They soon encounter deadly creatures and realize the true danger lurking in the jungle.
