Annette Frier, born January 22, 1974 in Cologne, Germany, is an actress and comedian who began her career studying classical acting at 'Der Keller'. She gained notable roles in German TV series like 'Hinter Gittern - Der Frauenknast' (1997) and 'SK Kölsch' (1999-2001). Frier started her comedy career with 'Switch' on Pro7 in 1998. From 2000 to 2002, she co-hosted the 'Wochenshow'. Since then, she has been a regular on improvisational comedy shows like 'Schillerstraße' (since 2004) and 'Alles außer Sex' (since 2005). She also hosted Stefan Raab's SSDSGPS in 2004 and Bundesvision Song Contest in 2005. Frier received a Golden Romy for Schillerstraße in 2006. Additionally, she starred in the theater play 'Nora' at Theater im Bauturm in Cologne.

Barbara and Thomas Lichtblau have been married for 15 years, but their relationship has become strained due to Thomas' forgetfulness, such as forgetting Barbara's birthday. In response, Barbara decides to gift herself a solo trip to Mexico for her honeymoon, accompanied by her friend Sandra. Upon arrival, they meet Diego, a photographer, and Pepe, the brother of Consuela who has two children. Sandra spends time with Diego while Barbara enjoys her trip. Before leaving Mexico, Pepe invites Barbara on a boat ride where they spend the night together. The next day, Barbara is driving the boat back when Pepe falls overboard due to a concussion. Unable to stop the boat, Barbara crashes it onto the beach. Sandra then informs Barbara that they need to go to the airport but Barbara decides to stay in Mexico for a few more days.
