Me Me Lai, born in Burma in 1952 to a Burmese mother and an English father, moved to England as a teenager. She began her acting career on television series like Paul Temple and Jason King before transitioning to films. Lai appeared in Crucible of Terror (1971) and Au Pair Girls (1972). Known for her roles in Italian cannibal films such as Il Paese del Sesso Selvaggio (1972) and Ultimo Mondo Cannibale (1977), she also had a part in Blake Edwards's Revenge of the Pink Panther (1978). Apart from acting, Lai was co-hostess of British game shows The Golden Shot and Sale of the Century, and appeared on Origami with Robert Harbin. Her last movie was The Element of Crime in 1984.
