Monique Candelaria was born on February 11th in Albuquerque, New Mexico to Carla Bernadette Castillo and David Robert Candelaria. After her father's service in the army, the family moved to Bremerhaven, Germany where Monique's brother David A. Candelaria was born. She has two half brothers from her mother's second marriage, Ivan and Nathan Del Curto. Growing up, Monique discovered a love for performing arts at an early age, singing in weddings and funerals around the age of seven. At 15, she became a dancer for a local television show called 'Dance, Dance, Dance it's a Teen Thing'. She graduated from the University of New Mexico with a B.A. in Theatre acting emphasis. Candelaria's first film role was in 'Bless Me, Ultima' (2013), but she gained recognition for her role as Lucy, the Denny's waitress on 'Breaking Bad' (2012-2013). Her first lead role was in 'The Control Group' (2014) starring Brad Dourif. She later played Angela Baca in 'Cents' (2016), a single mother raising a mathematical genius.

Wunmi Mosaku, born in Zaria, Nigeria in 1986, moved to Manchester, England at the age of one. She attended Trinity Church of England High School and Xaverian Sixth Form College. Mosaku studied acting at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, graduating in 2007 with a BA in Acting Degree. Her parents were both professors in Nigeria; her mother started a business, while her father returned to Nigeria. Known for roles in 'Moses Jones', 'Vera', and 'Damilola, Our Loved Boy' (for which she won the BAFTA TV Award for Best Supporting Actress), Mosaku has also appeared in 'Lovecraft Country' and Marvel's 'Loki'. She was nominated for the BAFTA for Best Actress and won the BIFA for Best Performance by an Actress in a British Independent Film for her role in 'His House'.
