In Mexico City, the police department finds the eleventh victim of the serial-killer known as The Cross Killer. Detective Garcia, an efficient but alcoholic detective, is assigned to track down the killer. The coroner reveals that the killer is a rapist with misogynistic tendencies who carves crosses on the backs of his teenage victims, suggesting he may be motivated by sadism and necrophilia. Meanwhile, the killer, identified as Victor, a disturbed street artist, confesses to a victim that his mother caught him masturbating when he was twelve and delivered him to Father Jose in their hometown of San Jose del Monte. The pedophile priest raped Victor, causing him to hear demons ever since. When Victor meets Gabriela, a teenager he believes is an angel, he falls in love with her.
