Sticky Notes follows Athena (Rose Leslie), an emotionally detached backup dancer living in Los Angeles. Her estranged father Jack (Ray Liotta) in Florida is diagnosed with cancer and asks Athena to move home to care for him. Athena returns to find six-year-old Honey Bunny, whom she must also look after, as the girl begins to understand her father's irresponsible lifestyle. While caring for Jack proves challenging, Athena receives a call about an opportunity of a lifetime back in LA. She decides to take it, leaving behind her father and Honey Bunny.
Sticky Notes is a heart-wrenching drama-comedy directed by Amanda Harlib and Amanda Sharp that explores the complex relationship between a daughter and her cancer-stricken father. Set against the backdrop of Athena's life as a struggling dancer in Los Angeles and her return to Florida, the film offers moments of humor and levity amidst its serious themes of estrangement, family bonds, and growing up.
