Sally Kirkland, born October 31, 1941, is an American actress with a career spanning over six decades, appearing in more than 250 film and television productions. Born to fashion editor Sally Kirkland, she began her career in New York's avant-garde theater scene during the 1960s and later became a member of Andy Warhol's The Factory. Kirkland gained critical acclaim for her role in 'Anna' (1987), earning an Academy Award nomination for Best Actress, a Golden Globe win, and recognition from the Los Angeles Film Critics Association and Independent Spirit Awards. She also received a second Golden Globe nomination for 'The Haunted' (1991). Kirkland is known for her roles in films such as 'Cold Feet' (1989), 'Best of the Best' (1989), 'JFK' (1991), and 'Bruce Almighty' (2003), including 'In the Heat of Passion' (1992).
