Alice Braga Moraes was born on April 15, 1983, in São Paulo, Brazil. She began her acting career in Brazil, gaining recognition for her roles in films like 'City of God' (2002) as Angélica and 'Lower City' (2005) as Karinna. Braga's role in 'Lower City', a film about two lifelong friends whose friendship is strained when they both fall for the same woman, brought her to international prominence.
