Dana Michelle Plato was born on November 7, 1964, in Maywood, California. She rose to fame as Kimberly Drummond in the TV sitcom 'Diff'rent Strokes' from 1978 to 1986. Post-series, Plato struggled to find acting roles and faced legal troubles, including arrests for robbery (1991) and prescription fraud (1992). On May 8, 1999, at age 34, she died in Moore, Oklahoma, from an apparent accidental overdose of Loritab. A coroner's inquest later ruled her death a suicide due to the large amount of drugs in her system and previous suicide attempts.
