Stephanie Beaton was born in Alliance, Ohio and developed an early fascination for horror films. She initially pursued becoming a veterinarian but moved to California at age fourteen to pursue acting instead. In high school, she was recognized in 'Who's Who of American High School Students' for two consecutive years before graduating with honors. She majored in Dramatic Arts in college. After moving to Los Angeles in 1992 and studying various acting techniques, Beaton landed her first film role as Jennifer Cartwright in 'Unnaturally Born Killers' (1995), which marked the beginning of her career as a 'Scream Queen'.
