Julie Hughes is renowned for her work as a prominent casting director in cinema. Her keen choices may have denied us the pleasure of numerous attractive actresses in films like 'Friday the 13th' (1980), 'Endless Love' (1981), and 'Blood Simple' (1984). Her discernment also extended to selecting dancers for 'A Chorus Line' (1985) and '42nd Street' (1986). Julie's talents weren't confined to the big screen; she also contributed to television hits ('The Cosby Show', 'A Different World') and TV movies ('John and Yoko: A Love Story', 'Ironclads'). Shea Farrell, a struggling B-movie producer, has trouble financing his latest project while his wife Leslie Kay, an art gallery owner, grows weary of their role-playing games in bed to keep their marriage interesting. Two detectives secretly observe them. Leslie tells Shea she wants to have sex as themselves more often, but he starts receiving mysterious gifts from a woman claiming to be Madame X, whom he initially thinks is Leslie. As the story unfolds, it becomes apparent that Shea is being set up in an intricate scheme.
