Toni Collette Galafassi, born November 1, 1972, is an Australian actress known for her roles in various films and stage productions. She rose to prominence with her role in 'Muriel's Wedding' (1994), earning a Golden Globe nomination, and gained international recognition for 'The Sixth Sense' (1999). Collette has appeared in diverse genres such as 'Emma', 'Shaft', 'The Hours', and 'Japanese Story'. She has won numerous awards, including a Golden Globe and an Emmy Award for her role in 'United States of Tara'. Collette is married to musician Dave Galafassi and has two children. She also fronts the band Toni Collette & The Finish. In 2017, she co-founded Vocab Films.

Story

Movie director-screenwriter Steven Schats gets his big break when FBI agent Joe Devine, posing as movie producer Joe Diamond, hires him to direct a script written by Steven and his brother Marshall 'Paris'. The film, initially intended as a mob sting operation cover for Devine to catch Teamster racketeer Tommy Sanz, becomes a real production with an Oscar-nominated actor volunteering to star. Throughout the shoot, complications arise as everyone begins to believe in the cancer biopic's authenticity, even the FBI brass.
