Story

In 15th century Transylvania, Count Dracula (played by Gary Oldman) marries Elisabeta, a noblewoman who commits suicide upon seeing her wedding party massacred during a Turkish invasion. Dracula's grief turns him into a vampire and he swears vengeance on the Turks. In 19th century England, Dracula travels to London where he meets Mina Harker (Winona Ryder), whom he believes is the reincarnation of Elisabeta due to their striking resemblance. Meanwhile, Dracula's former servant Renfield arrives in London and begins feeding on insects and creatures, drawing the attention of Dr. Van Helsing (Anthony Hopkins). After Dracula bites Mina, Van Helsing becomes aware of his presence and sets out to destroy him.

Summary

Directed by Francis Ford Coppola, 'Bram Stoker's Dracula' is a 1992 American fantasy horror film loosely based on Bram Stoker's 1897 novel of the same name. The film stars Gary Oldman as Count Dracula, Winona Ryder as Mina Harker, and Anthony Hopkins as Dr. Abraham Van Helsing. It explores themes of love, loss, revenge, and redemption through its unique interpretation of Stoker's classic tale.
