Photographer Elliot Slater accidentally captures photographs of jewel thief Omar while on assignment. Unaware that he's being pursued by Omar, his partner Nina, and undercover police officers Fred and Sheila, Elliot travels to Eden Island for a private vacation where he intends to explore his submissive fantasies. Upon arrival at the island's S&M resort, Elliot becomes infatuated with Lisa, the head dominatrix. Meanwhile, Omar and Nina arrive on the island, hoping to retrieve the incriminating photographs from Elliot before the police do.
Exit to Eden is a 1994 romantic comedy thriller directed by Garry Marshall, based on Erica Jong's novel of the same name. The film blends humor with themes of sexuality and desire as it follows Elliot Slater, who inadvertently finds himself entangled in a web of jewel smuggling while pursuing his submissive fantasies on an exclusive island resort. Despite its provocative setting, the movie is primarily concerned with Elliot's romantic pursuits and the comedic misadventures that ensue.
