Parker Posey, born November 8, 1968, is an American actress known for her work in independent films throughout the 1990s, earning her the title 'Queen of the Indies'. She made her film debut in 'Joey Breaker' (1993) and had notable roles in 'Dazed and Confused' (1993), 'The Daytrippers' (1996), and 'You've Got Mail' (1998). Posey has also worked with Christopher Guest in several of his mockumentaries. In addition to her film work, she has appeared in various television shows like 'Futurama', 'The Good Wife', and 'Lost in Space'. She starred as the lead character in the independent drama 'Misadventures of Margaret' (1998).

Story

Margaret, a timid and insecure popular author with an overly-attentive professor husband, decides to write an erotic novel for inspiration. With encouragement from her sister and a bisexual friend, she travels to France to research at an inn where an erotic diary had documented encounters. However, the inn has since become a cloister for singing nuns. While there, Margaret meets a young, divorced sound engineer who is recording the nuns' music. Although attracted to him, Margaret mainly indulges in new fantasies until he follows her back home to New York.
