Full Biography

Ingrid Lilian Thulin was born on January 27, 1926, in Sollefteå, Ångermanland, Sweden. She trained in ballet and joined The Royal Dramatic Theatre in Stockholm in 1948. Known for her collaborations with Ingmar Bergman, she appeared in films like 'Wild Strawberries' (1957) and 'The Silence' (1963). Thulin won the Best Actress award at Cannes Film Festival in 1958 and a Guldbagge Award in 1964. She was married to Harry Schein for over three decades, living separately before their divorce in 1989. Thulin resided in Paris, Italy, and Sweden, returning to Sweden for medical treatment where she died on January 7, 2004.

Story

In 'La caduta degli dei', the wealthy Von Essenbeck family gathers for dinner in 1934 at their estate during a time of political turmoil in Germany.
