Kate Elizabeth Winslet, born October 5, 1975, is an English actress known for her performances in independent films and period dramas. She started her acting career at age 15 with a role in the British television series 'Dark Season'. Her film debut was in 'Heavenly Creatures' (1994). Winslet gained global recognition for her leading role in 'Titanic' (1997), although she subsequently avoided blockbuster roles. Story
The Marquis de Sade (Geoffrey Rush), an infamous writer of erotic literature, is imprisoned at Charenton Insane Asylum due to his unmentionable activities.
