Ariane Labed, born May 8, 1984 in Athens to French parents, spent her first six years there before moving to Germany for another six years. She then moved to France at age 12. Labed studied theater and filmmaking at Provence University, co-founding the Vasistas theatre company. She debuted as an actress in 'Attenberg' (2010), winning the Volpi Cup for Best Actress at Venice Film Festival. Her notable works include 'Before Midnight', 'The Lobster', 'Assassin's Creed', and the TV series 'Trigonometry'. Labed also wrote and directed her first short film, 'OLLA', which was critically acclaimed.
