"Romane Portail, an archetypal French ingenue, secured one of the coveted 12 spots (out of 800 applicants) at the prestigious École Nationale Supérieure des Arts et Techniques du Théâtre (ENSATT) in Paris at just 19 years old. Born in Orleans, France, Romane's classical theatrical training has paved the way for roles in both cinema and television, with her bilingual proficiency in English and French enabling appearances in Hollywood productions alongside French film and TV work. Splitting time between the United States and France, this 5'8", green-eyed actress has become known for her portrayal of iconic fashion designer Coco Chanel, taking on the role in both the Canadian series 'Frankie Drake Mysteries' (2018) and the French miniseries 'La Garçonne' (2020). In the Netflix series 'Sense 8' (2016), Romane delivered a memorable scene titled 'Happy F*cking New Year,' leaving little to the imagination.
