She started her career acting in several Australian television series during the early 1980s, including 'The Young Doctors', 'Starting Out', 'Prisoner', 'Saturdee', and 'The Henderson Kids'. Notably, she had a guest appearance on an episode of 'Mission: Impossible' filmed in Australia in 1989. Additionally, Goldsmith was a founding member of the pop group The Chantoozies formed in 1986.
