"Katya Berger's path to fame in show business was clear from the outset, given that her mother is Croatian singer and actress Hanja Kochansky. Her Austrian stepfather, William Berger, had also made his mark on Spaghetti Westerns. Thus, young Katya set her sights on cinematic stardom.

In 1978, she made her film debut in the Spanish-Italian drama 'Historia de Eva' (also known as 'Piccole labbra'). However, it wasn't until several years later that American audiences got a chance to appreciate her assets in 'Tales of Ordinary Madness' (1983), an adaptation of Charles Bukowski's works.
