Dominique Sanda, born Dominique Marie-Françoise Renée Varaigne on March 11, 1951 in Paris to Lucienne Pinchon and Gérard Sanda, is a French actress and former fashion model. She gained prominence for her roles in European films such as 'Il Giardino dei Finzi-Contini', 'The Conformist', 'Novecento', 'Beyond Good and Evil', 'The Mackintosh Man', and 'Steppenwolf'. Notably, she won the Best Actress award at the Cannes Film Festival in 1976 for her role in 'The Inheritance'. She is known for her role as Lucia in the film 'Le voyage en douce'.

Story

In Rome, 1880, Gregorio decides to close his bakery and inform his children Pippo, Mario, and daughter Teta that they must make their own way. However, newly married Irene, Pippo's wife, fears that if Gregorio falls in love again, she might lose her share of the inheritance. She uses her intelligence and ambition to convince her brothers-in-law that they must prevent Gregorio from remarrying at all costs.
