Story

In Brazil, 2027, Joana, a devout Christian and civil servant in her forties, works at the divorce registration office but uses her position to try and reconcile couples by inviting them to join Divine Love, an evangelical group she belongs to with her husband Danilo. While the group engages in spiritual practices like reading holy texts and immersion rituals, they also secretly participate in swinging activities under the condition that conception occurs only within marriage. Despite their efforts, Joana and Danilo remain childless due to Danilo's impotence. Joana dedicatedly prays for a miracle at a religious drive-in. When she eventually becomes pregnant, complications arise as her relationship with her husband and faith are tested.
