Despite the unlikely nature of this claim, Paul agrees to investigate. They hire trafficker Thaksin Gao and travel by boat with captain Sonchai into the jungle to find Joshua. Along the way, they encounter strange occurrences that unsettle them further. Sonchai eventually leaves them stranded in an abandoned village.
