Mélanie Laurent, born February 21, 1983, in Paris to a Jewish family, is a French actress, filmmaker, and singer. Introduced to acting by Gérard Depardieu at age 16, she received critical acclaim for her roles in 'Dikkenek' (2006) and 'Don't Worry, I'm Fine' (2006), winning multiple awards. Her breakthrough came with Quentin Tarantino's 'Inglourious Basterds' (2009). Laurent has appeared in various films like 'Paris', 'Enemy', 'Beginners', and 'Now You See Me'. She has also directed films including 'The Adopted' (2011) and 'Respire' (2014), and released a music album 'En t'attendant' in 2011.
