Story

In North London, a young mother lives a modest life with her husband, who works as a bomb squad cop, and their four-year-old son. They are devoted fans of the Arsenal football team. On May Day, while she is having an affair with a wealthy reporter living across the street, a terrorist suicide bombing occurs at a soccer match, killing her husband and child. Consumed by grief and guilt over her infidelity, she seeks revenge against those responsible for the attack. Meanwhile, two men vie for her affection - the reporter and her husband's colleague who envisions camping with her on a beach. As she pursues her vengeance, she experiences delusions and struggles to find her way back to life.

Summary

Incendiary is a 2008 drama thriller directed by Sharon Maguire, based on the novel of the same name by Scottish author Aline O'Keeffe. The film explores themes of grief, guilt, adultery, and revenge following a terrorist attack at a soccer match in London. Although the story unfolds from the perspective of the bereaved mother, it also touches on the broader impacts of terrorism on British society.
