Leni Lan Yan, known professionally as Crazybarby, was born in Shanghai and moved to Hong Kong at 18. She adopted her stage name by combining her legal given name 'Crazy' with her family nickname 'Barby'. Lani graduated from both the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts and the Acting Department of the Shanghai Theatre Academy. Initially trained under Jackie Chan, she debuted professionally in Stanley Kwan's 'Everlasting Regret' (2005). She gained international recognition starring in 'Butterfly Kiss' (2006), winning the Russian Film Festival Rookie of the Year Award nomination. In 2011, Lani starred in the box office hit 'Sex and Zen: Extreme Ecstasy', playing Tie Yuxiang.
