Story

Augusto Valle, a successful young industrialist, marries Palmira, an employee from his factory, and they have a child with uncertain legitimacy. Palmira schemes to control Augusto's fortune by having affairs with both the mayor and the judge, aiming to commit Augusto to a mental institution.
