Julianne Nicholson, born on July 1, 1971, is an American actress known for her roles in various films and television series. She gained recognition for her portrayal of Chastity Miller in 'Law & Order: Criminal Intent' (2006–2009), and has since appeared in notable productions such as 'Masters of Sex' (2013–2014), 'Eyewitness' (2016), and 'Mare of Easttown' (2021), for which she won a Primetime Emmy Award. Nicholson's film credits include 'August: Osage County' (2013) and 'Blonde' (2022). She also had a role in the HBO series 'Boardwalk Empire' from 2011 to 2013.

In Salty Creek, South Carolina during autumn of 1941, Sophie leads a lonely life until a mysterious Asian man, Mr. Ohta, arrives in town amidst World War II.
