In the remote village of Accendura, young Bruno Lo Casio goes missing, sparking an investigation by police inspector, commissioner, and Captain Modesti. After a ransom demand, locals Giuseppe, Michele, and Tonino are arrested and later found murdered. Superstitious villagers blame Maciara, an alleged witch practicing black magic, but she is cleared of involvement. Despite this, the ignorant villagers brutally kill her. Journalist Andrea Martelli arrives in Accendura to cover the story. He befriends Patrizi, daughter of a wealthy entrepreneur, and together they meet village priest Don Alberto Avallone. They suspect that his six-year-old daughter may have witnessed the murders.
Directed by Lucio Fulci in 1972, 'Non si sevizia un paperino' is an Italian horror-thriller film set in the isolated, superstitious village of Accendura. The story revolves around a missing boy and subsequent murders, sparking panic among villagers who resort to brutal mob justice. Despite its horror genre classification, sources suggest a focus on mystery and suspense rather than typical splatter film elements.
