Azizi Johari, born August 24, 1948 in New York City, spent her early life traveling due to her father's service before settling in Seattle, Washington. She attended high school and college there, adopting a pseudonym that means 'precious jewel' in Swahili. Known professionally as Azizi Johari, she was Playmate of the Month in June 1975, being one of the first African-American women to hold this title. After touring with Sammy Davis Jr., she acted in films like 'The Killing of a Chinese Bookie', 'Dreamer', 'Seed of Innocence', and 'Body and Soul', also appearing on TV in 'The Six Million Dollar Man'.
