Briony Behets, born on 21 July 1951, is an English-Australian actress who gained prominence for her roles in Australian television soap operas during the 1970s and 1980s. After studying drama at Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London, she worked briefly as a nightclub dancer in the United States before returning to Australia. Behets had notable roles in soap operas like Number 96 (1972), The Box (1974-1975), Bellbird (1977), and Class of '75 (1978). She also starred in several films, including The Trespassers (1976) for which she received a Best Actress Award nomination. Her most well-known film role was in Long Weekend (1978). Later, she made guest appearances in US dramas like JAG and returned to the Australian soap Neighbours twice, playing different characters each time.
