Sally Kirkland, born October 31, 1941, is an American actress with a career spanning over six decades, appearing in more than 250 film and television productions. Born to fashion editor Sally Kirkland, she began her career in New York's avant-garde theater scene during the 1960s and later became a member of Andy Warhol's The Factory. Kirkland gained critical acclaim for her role in 'Anna' (1987), earning an Academy Award nomination for Best Actress, a Golden Globe win, and recognition from the Los Angeles Film Critics Association and Independent Spirit Awards. She also received a second Golden Globe nomination for 'The Haunted' (1991). After the death of her lover, Wilma McCoy (played by Angie Dickinson) takes over his bootlegging business to support herself and her daughters, Billy Jean and Elly May.
