Roxane Mesquida, born October 1, 1981 in Marseille but raised in Le Pradet, France, started her acting career at age 13 when she was discovered by director Manuel Pradal during casting for his film 'Marie Baie des Anges'. She worked with controversial French filmmaker Catherine Breillat in several films including 'À ma soeur!' and 'Sex Is Comedy', the latter exploring themes of social manipulation, sex, and power on a film set. Mesquida planned to attend art school but pursued acting instead, maintaining an interest in visual arts.

Story
Ryno de Marigny, a penniless aristocrat, has been involved in a passionate affair with Villini for ten years. At the age of 30, he becomes engaged to Hermangarde, a wealthy and titled virgin. Before the wedding, Hermangarde's grandmother questions Ryno about his past relationship with Villini. Through flashbacks, we learn about their tumultuous affair marked by intense passion and jealousy.
