Jean and Michelle, a young couple facing financial difficulties, discover that they have inherited their landlord's palatial townhouse along with his mysterious housekeeper, Clémence. As they settle into their new home, they find photographs revealing that Guillemet, the deceased landlord, had been spying on Michelle through her apartment window while she was undressing. Clémence begins leaving clues around the house suggesting that Michelle might have known more about Guillemet than she lets on and could potentially be involved in his death.

The film explores themes of trust, jealousy, and the darker side of human nature as secrets from the past begin to surface.
