Story

Five years ago, childhood friends Daniel Bloom (Lukas Haas) and Will Morrison (Adam Scott) had a falling out after Will had an affair with Daniel's wife Maggie Claire (Molly Parker). Neither Daniel nor his parents have seen or heard from Will since then. Now, Will unexpectedly shows up at the Blooms' lakeside home, announcing that he has written a book. The senior Blooms invite both Daniel and Maggie to confront whatever issue caused Will's disappearance. Tensions run high as the three friends and their spouses (Maggie is now married to someone else) spend uncomfortable days together, trying to deal with the aftermath of Will's affair and his unilateral decision to leave. The story explores whether they can forgive each other and move forward.
