Karine Verlier, born Karine Stämpfli on May 8, 1954 in Paris, is a French actress. Daughter of actress Lucile Saint-Simon and painter Jacques Verlier, she grew up in Switzerland, studying general and artistic subjects in Neuchâtel. Initially aspiring to be a painter like her father, she adopted his surname around the age of 23 when she embarked on an acting career. In Paris, she joined Catherine Harlé's agency under the pseudonym 'Dalaïna' and swiftly began appearing in films.

Story

In 'La stanza del vescovo', young Marco Maffei meets the charismatic Temistocle Mario Orimbelli while sailing on Lake Maggiore in September 1946.
