She has been nominated for multiple César Awards. Daughter of photographer Jean-Louis Seigner and journalist Aline Ponelle, she is the older sister of actress Mathilde Seigner and singer Marie-Amélie Seigner. Seigner was educated at a Catholic convent school and began modeling at age 14. Married to Polish film director Roman Polanski since 1989, they have two children.
